The lifting force test block is a standard ferromagnetic test piece used to verify the magnetization capability of a magnetic yoke-type magnetic particle inspection instrument. Its core function is to ensure that the equipment has sufficient lifting force to form an effective magnetic field and to prevent missed detections.

Material: 45 steel, heat-treated to normalizing, ensuring ferromagnetism and stability
Dimensions: Suggested area ≥ 200mm×200mm or 300mm×100mm, error ≤ ±5mm
Usage: Quantitatively verify the suction force of the magnetic yoke at the maximum magnetic pole spacing, ensuring the sensitivity of flaw detection
Usage and calibration points
Testing method: Place the magnetic yoke on the surface of the test block, apply power, and stabilize to lift the test block. Determine if it reaches the standard force value
Calibration specification: According to JJF (Nonferrous Metals) 0031-2024, the measured lifting force should not be lower than the nominal value
Notes: The gap between the magnetic pole and the test block surface is recommended to be 0.5mm. Insufficient lifting force will result in an insufficient magnetic field and missed detection
Differences from other test blocks
Different from A1/C type standard test pieces: The test block is used for quantitatively verifying the lifting force of the equipment, while the test piece is used for qualitative detection of the magnetic field distribution and comprehensive performance
Different from magnetic field indicators: The test block is a metrological standard part, while the indicator is a rough qualitative tool
